“Bobby Dove is a gifted artist, and a brilliant new light on the songwriting scene… A time traveler, Bobby’s songs meld genres with the touch of a master. I am a fan.”

“…Some of the most authentically-rendered and true-to-inspiration country music you can root out, while still holding onto enough originality to hit your ears with a welcomed freshness”
– Saving Country Music
“Dove can write rings around all but the very best of troubadours, telling stories in a compelling way…. This is very impressive indeed and I suggest you get Bobby Dove on your radar immediately.”
– Country Music People Magazine
“…A great band can only do so much if you don’t also have the songs and the chops to deliver the goods, and fortunately, Bobby has both of those things.”
– Roots Music Canada
On tour from Manitoba, Bobby Dove croons live audiences with their original music, while paying tribute to the golden age of traditional Country. Walking with the tall shadows of their honky tonk heroes, the Dove conveys a big presence and voice, with songs fresh off the heart-worn highway.
Bobby Dove’s sophomore album, Hopeless Romantic (2021) includes some of the finest musicians on the Canadian Country music scene, including members of Blue Rodeo: Jim Cuddy, Bazil Donovan, Jimmy Bowskill (The Sheepdogs, Blue Rodeo), and Burke Carroll (Kathleen Edwards).
Bobby’s journey into the lore of early Country music started at The Wheel Club, the home of Montreal’s infamous Hillbilly Mondays, where Bobby was mentored by the resident steel player (and early country music radio pioneer) Bob Hill (1932-2015). Along the road, Bobby has worked with legendary players, such as Fats Kaplin (John Prine) and shared stages with artists such as Mary Gauthier, Richard Thompson, The Sadies and Lavender Country.
Since the release of Bobby’s first full-length record, Thunderchild, Bobby has toured east to west in Canada – with highlight performances at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, Vancouver Island Music Fest, and Winnipeg Folk Fest.
The Dove recently toured Europe (The Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, UK) in Nov/Dec ’22 and will be gearing up for U.S and Canadian tours, as well as new releases and musical collaborations in 2023!
