This week’s Brews on Tues features the Hudson Creative Hub, a community cultural centre at 273 rue Main hosting events and activities promoting local artists and talent. On April 19 & 20, the Hub will host the first annual Hudson Animation and Short Film Festival.
In July, 2022, St. Mary’s Church Hall was privately purchased and transformed into the Hudson Creative Hub. It was incorporated as a not-for-profit charitable corporation on May 6, 2022. Founding members include Camillo Gentile, Lynda Clouette MacKay, Helen Kurgansky, Maurice A. Panchyshyn, and Serge L. Gerard.
The mission of the Hudson Creative Hub is to offer a welcoming, accessible, educational, and inspirational hub for the artistic, cultural, and community organizations of all age groups in Hudson and its vicinity.
They are committed to advancing the public’s appreciation of the arts by producing public art exhibitions, presentations, and performance arts events, and to providing a forum for qualified artists to exhibit, present, or perform their artistic works through participation in such events.
Brews on Tues is a weekly 5 à 7 event supporting local nonprofit organizations and social clubs. It’s a chance to try new activities, meet new friends, learn what’s happening in your community, and find out how you can volunteer or lend support to causes you care about. Plus: Cardinal will donate 10% of all tap sales on these Tuesdays to the spotlighted nonprofit!
