This edition of Brews on Tues is in support of Encore Musical Theatre, a community theatre group for all musical theatre lovers.
There’s a Special Kind of people known as Show people…! And lots them can be found right here in Hudson!
We are a group of musical theatre devotees and your neighbors who decided to round out the local theatre scene by creating Théâtre Musical ENCORE Musical Theatre! Our goal is to give local show people opportunities to sing, dance and fulfill their creative ambitions and of course, to bring quality musical theatre back to the area.
We want to share our love of Musical Theatre with as many people as possible, thus Encore Musical Theatre welcomes enthusiasts not only from Hudson, but from the surrounding environs as well. If you love musical theatre, or even if you love people who love musical theatre, come out to our event at Cardinal Feb. 20 starting at 5 pm. Karaoke and some performances by our talented cast members (and even you, Elaine) will be on the menu. And of course, all the great beers and food Cardinal is known for!
Raffle tickets will also be available for our Night on the Town basket (including tickets to our upcoming production of Curtains at the Hudson Village Theatre). Other baskets may be raffled as well! Looking forward to seeing you Feb 20!
Encore will debut its first production, Curtains, at the Hudson Village Theatre from March 7 – 17, 2024. The company’s goal is to give local show people opportunities to sing, dance and fulfill their creative ambitions and — of course — to bring quality musical theatre back to the area.
Here’s the summary of the show’s plot: It’s the brassy, bright, and promising year of 1959. Boston’s Colonial Theatre is host to the opening night performance of a new musical. When the leading lady mysteriously dies on stage, the entire cast and crew become suspects. It is up to a local fast-talking detective, who just happens to be a musical theatre fan, to save the show, solve the case, and maybe even find love, all without getting killed. Packed with glorious tunes from the legendary songwriting team of Kander & Ebb, Curtains is a witty and hilarious musical whodunit that you won’t want to miss!
Brews on Tues is a weekly 5 à 7 event supporting local nonprofit organizations and social clubs. It’s a chance to try new activities, meet new friends, learn what’s happening in your community, and find out how you can volunteer or lend support to causes you care about. Plus: Cardinal will donate 10% of all tap sales on these Tuesdays to the spotlighted nonprofit!
