Ishana is a indie-pop singer, songwriter, and producer from Montreal, Canada. Her songs reflect the inner workings of her mind, as she journeys through a life dedicated to learning more about self-love, honoring one-self, and discovery. She makes an impact on new and old audiences alike with her soulful voice, unique aura and musical arrangements. Influenced by her oldies rock and Motown upbringing meshed with teen girl 2000s pop and 90s divas vocal influences, her time with the Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir, her solid background in music theory and her time studying classical guitar, ISHANA’s songs are to be remembered. Her latest endeavours include lending her voice to a collaborative rock album project, joining an ambient gloom (metal) band as a singer and lyricist, and incorporating electronic elements to her tried and true acoustic sound. In early 2022, she released punchy single “Calm Cool Collected”, reminiscent of early 2000s pop-rock single “Bubble Gum”, which followed softer “Whole Again” of Spring 2021. Her previous works include albums Old Skin I and II, heart-full humble beginnings from which one can hear her growth in musicianship.
