After writing her upcoming eight-song debut record “The Next Big Invention” in her bedroom, Montreal-based singer-songwriter Rachel Dara traveled across Canada to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to have her live-style album produced by Grammy-award winning Mark Howard. The album features eight tracks, including her most recent release “Go Home Johnny”.
Mark chose to work with such a young artist because of her insight into life itself which reminded him of another famed folk artist he worked with… “Her writing and style is far more mature than her age, she has a feel and sound like Joni Mitchell.” In 2023, she received ISSA’s “International Female Rising Star” award and was announced as runner-up for “International Female Music Video of the Year”. Rachel Dara exploded onto the music scene during the pandemic after playing 57 online “Covid Concerts” to light up hearts all around the globe.
