Did you know that 1 in 8 men are expected to be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime? Yet this can almost always be successfully treated if diagnosed early. A simple PSA blood test could lead to saving your life, or that of someone you love.
Since 2000, Ride For Dad has raised over $39 million nationally, through the efforts of volunteers in over 20 communities across Canada. The proceeds are used to award research grants through its charity arm, the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation, and deliver awareness campaigns to benefit the community where the money was raised.
Ride For Dad works all year long to spread the message to men to over 40 to #GetChecked. Researchers receiving Ride For Dad grants never stop working to try to improve men’s lives through better detection and treatment of prostate cancer.
Participants register for their local riding event and collect pledges. Motorcyclists travel through the community with VIPs, celebrity riders, and community partners to draw attention to this important cause.
